This Upper West Side restaurant gets its name and culinary outlook from the port city of Bodrum on the Turquoise Coast of Turkey. Start with mezzes like sigara borek, or filo cigars filled with feta and parsley ($7.95), smoky baba ganoush ($8.50) and spiced eggplant cooked in tomato sauce ($8.50). Entrees include lamb shish kebab ($21.95), moussaka ($17.95), vegetable tagine ($17) and coriander-crusted salmon ($20.95). Bodrum also serves brick-oven thin-crust pizzas with toppings like artichoke hearts and sun-dried tomatoes ($15), chipotle cream sauce and lamb meatballs ($15) and pear, caramelized walnuts and gorgonzola cheese ($15.50). Make brunch reservations to try everything from shakshuka ($14.95) to poached eggs with sauteed spinach and garlic-yogurt sauce ($13) to a brunch pizza with pastrami, feta and eggs ($15).
