Prolific downtown restaurateur-chef John DeLucie (the Lion, Bill’s Food & Drink) bounces back from a tough 2015—a much-public fallout with longtime business partner Sean Largotta, the closures of Crown and the Windsor—with this solo small-plates debut inside the Renwick Hotel. From an open kitchen, DeLucie deploys comfort classics (chicken pot pie, truffle mac and cheese) as well as wood-fired proteins (kanpachi, whole-roasted branzino). Diners can tuck into a spread of shareable items in a midcentury-inspired dining room lined with copper and leather panels. An antique mirror-and-marble bar is stocked with Prohibition-style cocktails, including a Negroni and a Capri.
