There’s a Mediterreanean slant to the food at this classy-looking restaurant on East 46th Street, Midtown East. It’s all certified Kosher, too. The (open) kitchen is overseen by exec head chef Joshua Kessler, who also happens to own the place.
Starters include duck confit salad with apricot, fennel, orange mostarda and crostini, red snapper ceviche with jalapeno, tomato, cilantro and rainbow radish, and lamb riblets with pistachio, fennel and honey. Mains range from beef bolognese, wild mushroom carbonara and veal chop with broccolini, heirloom carrot and a honey mustard demi-glace to filet de bouef with heirloom carrot, patty pan squash, pomme purée and sauce au poivre.
There’s a 11-strong cocktail list too, complemented by a chunky wine list showing an even hit of old- and new-world options.
