It’s hard to beat the ambiance at this Tribeca restaurant: The utensils, plates, tables, chandeliers, artwork and mirrors in the dining room are all Victorian-era antiques. Add in the live jazz musicians that provide background tunes every night and you’ve got a unique dining experience. Cocktails like the Antique Manhattan with Bulleit, Southern Comfort, sweet vermouth and orange juice or the Little Tenderness with gin, St. Germain, grapefruit juice, orange and rosemary (each $16) will start off your night. The menu leans Mediterranean, with appetizers like chargrilled pureed eggplant marinated in olive oil ($14) and crispy phyllo dough stuffed with shrimp, cheese and red caviar sauce ($18). Entrees include grilled lamb skewers wrapped in flatbreads ($28) and a spicy saute of shrimp, octopus and calamari with red and green peppers ($28). End the meal with something sweet, like traditional baklava or dried Turkish apricots stuffed with clotted cream and almonds (each $10).
