Located within Nicole Farhi’s Chelsea Market store, 202 (named after Farhi’s original London restaurant) divides the kitchen, tables, and clothes in such a way that shoppers never bump into diners. Sadly, 202’s cuisine is less tailored than Farhi’s lovely frocks; British specialty “bubble and squeak” arrives as an airy but bland potato pancake with feeble slivers of cabbage, and a white-sauce lasagna studded with prosciutto and mushrooms begs for bolder flavors to balance its rich ingredients. Only Stefan Trummer’s cocktail wizardry saves the place: Try the lilac-infused Titanic specialty, which includes an elderflower sorbet mini-iceberg floating on top.
