Time Out says

On the corner of Knickerbocker and Jefferson, you’ll notice a bold '191' standing out proud. This is one of the only defining features with which to spot 191 Knickerbocker. Unassuming from the outside, it more than makes up for it on the inside. Warm woods and characterful decor fills the cozy joint, which is run by a husband and wife team.

This Bushwick bar and restaurant is the ideal spot to seek out if you’ve got a hankering for comfort food. Be that a classic Reuben sandwich or mac ‘n’ cheese, some empanadas from Argentina or fritters from the West Indies – 191 Knickerbocker has got you covered. Their specialty is very much homely foods from all over the world.

Brunch is a popular time to visit on Saturday and Sunday, where you can dig into chicken ‘n’ waffles, eggs benedict and fried apple pie noon-4pm, and wash it down with yuzu mimosas or a hibiscus margarita. If the tipples are more your bag, head down Tuesday to Friday during happy hour (5-7pm) instead, where you can get a beer and a shot for $7. They’ve got brews from Blue Point, Coney Island, Montauk and more.
