In a world where sapphic spaces are unjustifiably scare, The Bush, the queer bar in Bushwick opened in 2023, has already broken many molds. Aside from the many great ragers they throw, they also host more chill, community-focused events, including Bachata Sáfica, the near-monthly party hosted by Nadia Guevara, with cheeky themes like “Keepin’ It Cuntry”, “Midsummer Night’s Dream” and “Bien Espooky.”
Their next event, "Dyke the Halls," is happening on December 12, and will offer $15 bachata lessons that start at 7pm and 7:45pm. The lessons are just the start of the fun—Afterwards, it'll be time to hit the dance floor. Dance the night away using your newly aquired skills to a fab lineup of all Latin DJs.
