Trisha Paytas is a busy person—that much is obvious. But if you're a real fan, then you know she always makes time for a quick bite (reference her many mukbangs)

When she did a stopover at Time Out New York's office last week to star in our February digital cover, we got a moment to ask her about her favorite spots to eat at whenever she's in town.

RECOMMENDED: Trisha Paytas made it to Broadway by breaking every rule

Here is Trisha Paytas' unofficial foodie guide to New York City.

1. Joe’s Pizza

At the top of Trisha's list was this New York classic, and we suggest getting takeout if you happen to stop by during the busy hours. Expect crunchy crusts, and flaming hot cheese. Ever since its humble origins on Bleecker Street in the West Village, Joe’s Pizza has expanded to Union Square, Williamsburg, midtown, and FiDi.

2. Liberty Bagels

A chain with a couple of locations throughout Manhattan, Liberty Bagels is known for its hand-rolled New York-style boiled bagels. They also have those Insta famous rainbow bagels you've probably seen online. Paytas does add one caveat though. She recommends it only “if you don't go on the weekend (because there’s) an hour long line.”

3. Schmackary's

Located in Hell’s Kitchen, this cookie shop is famous for its wide variety of flavors. It’s sometimes called “The Official Cookie of Broadway," an appropriate selection for a soon-to-be Broadway star. Smack dab in the middle of the Theater District, it’s the favorite of local celebrities and actors. Some of its most famous flavors include the Schmack-Uccino and Viva ferrero. “Wish we had it in L.A.,” Paytas says.

4. Carmine’s Times Square

This Italian restaurant on 44th Street has variety and satisfying portions—think of it as Olive Garden’s slightly more refined cousin. The Times Square location is known for its parties and big events, a fact that is reflected in its enormous drinks menu, which has everything from Sardinian lemon drops to frozen margs.

5. Benihana

This chain restaurant with 68 locations across the world is not a New York institution by any means, but who are we to police what Paytas should and shouldn't like? “Benihana on West 56th street is the best hibachi,” Paytas says. “I go there right at 11am when they open and you get the place to yourself.”
