Folks with tickets to Saturday night's performance of Broadway hit musical & Juliet are in (major!) luck: Supreme Court Justice Ketani Brown Jackson—the first Black, female Justice to take a seat on the highest court—is scheduled to make her debut in a one-night-only walk-on role at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre during the 8pm show. Following the performance, Jackson will also participate in a talkback.

All that was revealed about the cameo was that a new ensemble role was created by the production for the justice in specific.

Jackson's followers may have seen this one coming: the lawyer wrote about her love for the theater in her memoir Lovely One, which was released back in September.

"I, a Miami girl from a modest background with an unabashed love of theatre, dreamed of one day ascending to the highest court in the land—and I had said so in one of my supplemental application essays," she rites. "I expressed that I wished to attend Harvard as I believed it might help me 'to fulfill my fantasy of becoming the first Black, female Supreme Court justice to appear on a Broadway stage.'”

As reported by The Hill, the lawyer also discussed her passion for Broadway while talking to The Atlantic earlier this year.

"I love all manner of Broadway," she said when asked what production in particular she'd like to be a part of. "Musicals are the best. Wicked. I love Wicked.'"

Will she take on the iconic role of Elphaba Thropp next?
