Yes, you read that correctly.

Spring in NYC may have officially arrived, but New Yorkers are still donning our hats, scarves and gloves. Hopefully by next Saturday (April 6), we'll be able to put away those parkas for good and enthusiastically usher in the warm weather season during Luna Park's opening day celebration at Coney Island.

To sweeten the amusement park's big reopening, guests can enjoy free admission to the park with a $10 donation to benefit Children of Promise, NYC—a non-profit that seeks to break the cycle of intergenerational involvement in the criminal justice system.

Screaming your guts out on the Cyclone—and inevitably regretting that second Nathan's Famous Hot Dog—is one of the best things to do at this NYC treasure. Experience that pivotal New York moment as well as more opportunities for screams, laughs and delights in less than two weeks!

CORRECTION: The initial photo used for this article was of Deno's Wonder Wheel Park, which opens April 14 with free rides on the Wonder Wheel for the first 99 guests in honor of the Wheel's 99th year.
