Following a relatively mild December, New Yorkers should brace themselves for "below-normal temperatures," according to the National Weather Service Climate Prediction Center.
What's more, meteorologists are warning about the possibility of snow as early as this upcoming Monday.
"A storm system will track to the south, but we may get the northern fringe, which will bring the chance of snow for the city," reports Pix11. "Expect highs to be in the lower 30s."
But let's start with the present: the National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory through, at least, tonight at 10pm, following expected wind gusts of up to 40 miles per hour.
"This will make for 'feels like' temperatures in the 20s as early as Thursday morning before we’re down to feeling like the teens and single digits on Saturday morning," reports NBC New York.
Starting tomorrow, temperatures will steadily drop through, at least, the middle of the month, reaching lows in the 20s and highs in the very low 30s. Folks all around the eastern portion of the U.S. will be dealing with similar patterns.
While thinking of how cold you are in the upcoming days, keep in mind that these sorts of temperatures are what's expected around these parts during this time of the year. It's winter in New York, after all!
