This past weekend, NYC got hit with a pretty solid snow storm that made our Saturday night plans a bit more hard to execute. Alas, although nothing is yet confirmed, meteorologists are warning about the possibility of even more precipitation in the next few days.
According to NBC New York, the first system expected to roll over the tri-state area will likely drift our way on Tuesday night. Keep in mind that, when looking at New York City specifically, "very little snow accumulation [is] expected." Think of it as more of a "glancing blow."
CBS reports that, although a mere "coating" is certainly a possibility, high estimates predict 3 inches of potential snow "across the city and immediate suburbs." Until tomorrow night, though, it's going to be sunny and cold, so take out the sunglasses, scarf and gloves.
Certain forecasting models are also warning against additional precipitation on Wednesday night: a mix of snow and sleet that might make the Thursday morning commute a bit complicated. After that, we've got more white powder to look forward to: experts are predicting a 50% chance of rain and snow on Saturday.
Basically, be prepared for all sorts of cold weather-related phenomenon... while counting down to spring, which is, technically, a mere 38 days away.
