Right before Christmas, 12-time Academy Award nominee Bradley Cooper stunned New Yorkers in the East Village while slinging out Philly cheesesteaks at the soft-opening of Danny & Coop's Cheesesteaks, his new restaurant reportedly opening full-time at 151 Avenue A by 10th Street this month.

The culinary endeavor is a collaboration between Cooper and Danny DiGiampietro, the owner of Angelo's Pizzeria in South Philadelphia.

Although no official announcement has yet been made, rumor has it that the new eatery will officially debut some time this month.

For what it's worth, while the business's official Instagram account currently lacks much information, the profile does note that they'll be "back in January 2025."

Unsurprisingly given the caliber of Cooper's celebrity, the destination was packed during the soft-opening at the end of December, with folks braving the lines to devour the only item on the menu (a Philly cheesesteak, of course) and catch a glimpse of the co-owner in the flesh.

According to an unofficial analysis of social media posts regarding the food on offer, the cheesesteak was actually pretty good.

"Coop was on the line out of sight of the dining area, turning out these top notch cheesesteaks," one user noted on Instagram.

"Only quality ingredients can be foudn in these sandwiches," someone else commented on the platform. "The combination of Cooper sharp and perfectly cooked steak melts in your mouth between fresh sesame bread [slices]."

This isn’t Cooper's first venture into the culinary world: in 2023, the actor operated a Danny & Coop's Cheesesteaks food truck in the city, which received mostly positive reviews. And let’s not forget Cooper’s role as top chef Adam Jones in the 2015 film Burnt: it’s clear the actor knows a thing or two about food.
