For 14 years, Sleep No More at the McKittrick Hotel, which was a loose and contemporary interpretation of Hamlet, was a fixture of New York City's theater scene. For many of us who were lucky enough to have gone, it changed the way we viewed theater, blurring the lines between actor and audience.

The beloved show had its final performance on January 5, citing growing production costs as the reason it was ending its production. But for any of those not quite ready to let go, Sleep No More just announced an auction for the show's props and scenery. Here's how you can throw your hat into the ring.

In an Instagram post, the McKittrick Hotel wrote that it was auctioning off "props and set pieces, each crafted with exquisite devotion to detail. Whether it’s a relic from The King James Sanitorium, a prized token from Lady Macbeth's chambers, or a precious keepsake from the shops on High Street, these treasures are waiting to become part of your own story."

Bidding will take place between now and January 30 on its website. As per the Instagram post, all bidders have to purchase items with a credit card and arrange pick-up at The McKittrick Hotel through February 5. The items have all been used for the actual show to varying degrees, which means that the quality of what is being auctioned will vary.

As of the writing of this article, there's a music box going for $116; chairs going for $850; a Victoria lamp going for $175; a piano going for $1,000; and more. We're still in the early days of bidding, though, so prices for many of those items are likely to go up.

If you want to secure an item, make sure to constantly refresh and check back on the site until next Thursday, January 30 before 6pm. If you have a theater geek in your life who also happens no need more furniture, this should probably be in the shortlist of gifts to get them. Happy hunting!
