As of today, wildfires are still ravaging various parts of Los Angeles, including the Pacific Palisades, Malibu and Eaton Canyon. Hundreds of acres have burned, displacing tens of thousands of Angelenos. Organizations throughout the area are offering direct assistance to those in need, including local restaurants that are providing free food and shelter. While we live on a separate coast, plenty of New York establishments, event venues and restaurants are raising funds to assist those affected.

Here is a list of how you can help out right here in New York:

Scarr's Pizza

On January 24, Scarr's will host LA’s favorite East Coast-inspired delicatessen, Ggiata, to help give back. Sponsored by UberEats, 100% of the proceeds from the event will be donated to the ARC Firefighter Fund. The Italian-style deli eatery will serve their iconic chicken sandwiches and Rainbow Cookies. Two exclusive items will also be available, including the Hot Boi Calzone and the collaborative pizza pie: Spicy P Za. The pop-up goes all day, from noon to 1am.

New York for Los Angeles Fundraiser to Benefit LA

A handful of New York's favorites are coming together to provide aid to L.A. firefighters and those impacted by the fires. On Thursday, January 30, 63 Clinton, Claud, Penny, Hometown BBQ, Estela, Mitsuru and Sunn's will gather at 632 on Hudson for a walk-around tasting fundraiser. Drinks will be provided by Parcelle, Cardenxe and Grand Cru Selections. The tasting will benefit two causes, the California Fire Foundation and the California Community Foundation. Tickets are $300 and can be purchased here

Porterhouse Party to Benefit the LA Fire Department Foundation at Slate

On Thursday, January 30, the team behind Porterhouse Party will be throwing a fundraiser to support the Los Angeles Fire Department. The steak catering company will take over Slate NYC (54 West 21st Street), offering their Prime Thick Cut Bacon, Filet Mignon Bites, 45 Day Dry Aged Porterhouse Steaks and even bone marrow shots. A portion of the proceeds from ticket and bar sales will go to the cause to aid in wildfire relief efforts. Tickets are $85 and can be purchased here. For those who can’t make the party, the company will be donating $50 to the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation from the sale of every one of their new Steak Boxes. The boxes ship nationwide, so everyone can get in on giving back.

Kancil

Found on the Upper West Side, Kancil is dedicating its Mondays to the cause. Starting January 13 until March 3, the Malaysian restaurant will donate 50% of the day’s proceeds to the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation to aid with the initiatives to battle the L.A. fires.

Time Out Market New York

Now through the end of the month, the market is offering two drink specials to help aid fire relief efforts: the Blueberry Margarita and the non-alcoholic Cucumber Jalapeño Spritz. Available at all three of its bars—The Lobby Bar, The Rooftop and The Local Corner—100% of proceeds from the cocktails will benefit The Red Cross-Wildfire Relief.

Veniero's Pastry

From now until the end of January, Veniero's Pastry is finding a way to give back. A portion of proceeds from every purchase of their 10-inch cheesecake will be donated to the California Fire Foundation, which supports victims, firefighters and their families. Additionally, the Italian bakery will match every dollar raised.

Past events

On Sunday, January 12, Gotham Burger Social Club is bringing back their California Dreaming Burger. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, which supports the efforts of those on the front lines of the California wildfire relief efforts.

Migo events has partnered up with Williamsburg’s Viva Toro for a donation drive. On January 12, January 14 and January 15, the party collective will accept clothes, shoes and accessories to help aid the Los Angeles community affected by the fire. Check out their Instagram post for more details.
