The much-anticipated Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree lighting ceremony is tonight, December 4, and if you’re planning on driving through the city, you should be prepared for some of the road closures and potential traffic delays that are happening throughout midtown.
The ceremony will begin at 8pm and the actual tree will be lit up at 10pm. This year's host will be the iconic Kelly Clarkson and the entire thing will be live streamed on NBC Universal. If you're just trying to get home, though, these are the roads you should avoid.
