Governors Ball is headed back to Randall’s Island this June with a sweeping lineup.
The outdoor pop music festival draws more than 60 performers out to its four stages every summer, and judging by this year’s headliners, you’re in for a weekend of good ‘ol throwbacks.
On the bill is early aughts indie rockers Vampire Weekend, Fleetwood Mac singer-songwriter Stevie Nicks and pop-rapper Missy Elliott, who will be making her first major NYC performance in over a decade.
In addition to those acts, you can catch sets from Tame Impala, Flume, Solange, Miley Cyrus, RÜFÜS DU SOL, Ellie Goulding, H.E.R., Portugal. The Man, Foals, Summer Walker, Jon Bellion, Khruangbin, Of Monsters and Men, Milky Chance, Gryffin, BANKS, Alessia Cara, Girl Talk, Pinegrove, Arizona, Snail Mail, Nancy Whang (LCD Soundsystem), Princess Nokia, Poolside, Frankie Cosmos and more.
For those who have yet to attend Gov Ball and wondering how to choose between favorites from this year's stacked lineup, anyone torn between acts can easily float between multiple shows as the stages are in close proximity.
This year is also the first year that Governors Ball is an all-ages festival. All event goers 18 and over are welcome with valid proof of ID, and ages 17 and under can attend with an adult who is 21 or older. Each adult 21 and older may accompany up to two ticket holders 17 or younger.
The 10th annual Governors Ball is taking place from June 5 to 7 at Randall’s Island Park and we can only hope the weather holds up as previous years have experienced major rain delays and cancellations at the tail end of spring.
Tickets are on sale now, as of noon today.
