[title]
The New York City Pride March took over the streets of Manhattan on Sunday. It was a grand affair, featuring thousands of rainbow-clad attendees all celebrating the LGBTQ community.
This weekend’s march featured a new route. In previous years, it ended in the West Village. This year, it started in Chelsea, looped through the Village and finished on Fifth Avenue in the Flatiron District. The change was to make way for next year’s World Pride, which will be hosted in New York and expects to draw two to three times more attendees.
The new route did not damper the event whatsoever—it was a beautiful celebration of love, pride and everything that’s special about New York’s LGBTQ community.
