If you've been counting down the days until the solar eclipse 2024—the next time one will be seen from the contiguous United States will be all the way in August 2044, so it’s kind of a big deal—we’ve got an extra reason for you to be excited. To celebrate the celestial phenomenon, Burger King is giving away complimentary burgers across North America.

On Monday, April 8—during which the Moon will fully block the face of the Sun, with a total solar eclipse kicking off over Mexico, the United States and Canada around 11am PDT—Burger King's Royal Perk members can text the keyword “ECLIPSE” to 251251 to claim a buy-one-get-one Whopper offer that can be redeemed during or after the eclipse via the BK app and website.

The BOGO deal on the burger chain’s signature sandwich (a quarter-pound, flame-grilled patty with tomatoes, lettuce, pickles, white onions, mayonnaise and ketchup on a toasted sesame seed bun) will be available through April 15 at participating Burger King locations across the country. And if you're not already a Royal Perk member, it's easy enough to join the rewards program—simply download the app and sign up. Then you, too, can have yourself a whopping good eclipse day.

And Burger King isn't the only national chain getting in on the eclipse fun. Applebee's is pouring out a Perfect Eclipse Margarita—made with Patron Premium Silver Blanco Tequila, Citronge Orange Liqueur, Monin Blue Raspberry, passionfruit, lemon and lime—through Sunday, April 14 in honor of the big blackout. (Just don't get, you know, blackout.) Pizza Hut is pricing its large pizzas, including create-your-own pies (with up to 10 toppings) and recipe pizzas (Thin ‘N Crispy, Hand Tossed Pizza, Original Pan Pizza), for only 12 bucks as an eclipse special on April 8th. And Smoothie King is blending up an Eclipse Berry Blitz (bananas, wild blueberries, protein blend, blue spirulina) through April 8th, which will come with free eclipse-viewing glasses.
