Schools are closed next week, which means that parents are scrambling to set up seven days worth of activities for the little ones. Let us help: Kids Week is back at Bryant Park from Tuesday, February 18 through Friday, February 21—and the programming is looking stacked.

All week, children will gave the chance to take free beginner ice skating lessons or watch junior performances on the ice with family-friendly music playing in the background. Keep in mind that the 25-minutes-long morning sessions are first-come, first-served so you might want to get there a bit ahead of time. There will be four classes each morning: 9:30am, 10:10am, 11am and 11:40am. Although the lessons are free, skate rentals aren't. You can use code NOT2LATE2SKATE at checkout to get one free rental, though.

In addition to the daily skating sessions, the staff is gearing up for a full week of programming. On Tuesday, for example, an expert from the Transit Museum will be on site to chat with the kids alongside the New York Police Department's K9 program's dogs.

The next day, the kids will get to design their own balloon rockets, look at a scale model of the solar system and hop inside a planetarium dome. There will also be themed yoga classes, fitness courses, scavenger hunts and more. The entire week is pretty packed with awesome activities that will make the absence of school suddenly feel like a breeze.
