If you thought the fight to confirm new Supreme Court justice Brett Kavanaugh got ugly, just wait until the spirit realm gets involved.

In a move that has drawn national attention, the Bushwick occult store Catland Books is planning on hosting a public event on October 20 that will include a ritual to hex Brett Kavanaugh.

Please join us for a publich [sic] hex on Brett Kavanaugh and upon all rapists and the patriarchy which emboldens, rewards and protects them,” states the event’s Eventbrite page. “We will be embracing witchcraft's true roots as the magic of the poor, the downtrodden and disenfranchised and it's history as often the only weapon, the only means of exacting justice available to those of us who have been wronged by men just like him.”

Though Kavanaugh will be the main target of the evening’s magical proceedings, he won’t be the only one. The event will also include an additional ritual called “The Rites of the Scorned One” meant to validate and support all those who have been wronged in some way.

In an interview with Time, the event’s organizer Dakota Bracciale explained the evening is meant to be an act of resistance against the Trump administration. “It’s about having space for survivors of sexual assault who are not going to be silent and don’t want Brett Kavanaugh to serve as a symbol of defeat.”

The event, which costs $10 to attend, will be donating half of its profits to charity, with a quarter going to the Ali Forney Center and a quarter going to Planned Parenthood.
