Fresh off last night's historical Grammy win for best country album and her first-ever album of the year trophy, Beyoncé is now gearing up for the kickoff to her much-anticipated Cowboy Carter Tour. The iconic artist announced the tour early yesterday in a social media post, ahead of the awards show, but dropped the specific concert dates this morning. How Beyoncé is the timing of it all?
The North American leg of the tour will kick off at the end of April in Los Angeles, followed by stops all over the U.S., including four different ones at MetLife Stadium, in New Jersey, where plenty of New Yorkers are expected to flock to come May's shows.
When does Beyoncé come to NYC for her Cowboy Carter Tour?
We have to be honest: we're not the biggest fans of MetLife Stadium, the massive venue in New Jersey. Getting there from NYC on concert nights can take a while and heading back home is usually an even bigger headache. However, given the huge demand for any Beyoncé event, it's no surprise the artist chose to schedule four shows in East Rutherford. After all, the stadium has a capacity of 82,500 people (for comparison, Madison Square Garden and the Barclays Center each hold about 19,000 spectators).
Beyoncé's first MetLife show will be on Thursday, May 22, followed by three other concerts on site: May 24, 25 and 28.
