Antoni Porowski, the dreamy food-and-wine guy on Queer Eye said something at 92nd Street Y last night that made New Yorkers pretty excited. He's thinking of opening a fast-casual restaurant in the city. Here's the one line, in all its glory:
“I’m all about like cheese and pork belly and decadence, and as a result of the increased vanity of being on camera all the time and working out and eating healthy, I’m developing a fast-casual food concept restaurant that I’m gonna be opening here in New York.”
Cheese and pork belly and... avocados, perhaps? Either way, we're sure people would pay big bucks to get a glimpse of the Johnny Depp circa 1998 look-a-like (if they missed him giving away bikes last month).
Porowski's culinary experiences have included working as a busboy, waiter and personal chef for Ted Allen, the original Queer Eye food-and-wine expert. His debut cookbook-memoir will be coming out next year.
