At first, you might think Daisy Duke's, a new honky tonk bar at 47 Stone Street, to be completely at odds with the neighborhood it calls home. After all, the Financial District has historically been filled with sports bars and high-end cocktail bars ideal for the sort of high-caliber meetings that finance bros constantly talk about.

And, yet, Daisy Duke’s works: there is just something about hearing country music smack-dab in the middle of downtown Manhattan that feels … refreshing? It probably helps that there is a whole lot to do and see inside the new destination.

What the staff refers to as the Buffalo Bar is at the entrance: covered in fur and antique lace belts, the bar is basically an homage to the Western genre—complete with “Wild West” jail photo ops across the surrounding walls. The bar also features a stage that will be filled by live music acts curated by in-house country music consultant CC.

The photo ops continue all throughout the space: expect repurposed antique props and memorabilia sourced from movie sets to pepper the bar, the walls and more.

There's more.

“Copper Canyon Train booths with antique luggage, copper piping and accented curtains provide intimate seating for those who want to get further immersed into the gold rush era,” reads a press release. “Tucked behind it, a semi-private kickback area “Rustlers Roost” (a reference to cattle rustlers who were known for stealing cows) pays tribute to cowboy culture featuring a wall covered in the entire Time-Life book series of essential moments in Wild West history, a Chevrolet antique trunk, an old-school Coca-Cola fridge, an original 1900s tree saw and more nostalgic pieces.”

As for the food and drink program, it's all about the West again. From comfort foods "with a country-western twist" like smashed sliders, giant Texan pretzels and Southern fried chicken dishes, to the sorts of cocktails that are sure to get you more into character (Daisy's Punch, made with tequila and fresh fruit juices, sounds particularly appealing), the menus will change seasonally.
