A Michael Jackson musical will hit Broadway in 2020

Broadway's unquenchable thirst for jukebox musicals continues. Entertainment Weekly confirms that the Great White Way is eyeballing the late King of Pop himself for a big splashy musical, tentatively slotted for 2020. Written by Lynn Nottage (Sweat) and choreographed and directed by Christopher Wheeldon (2015's An American in Paris), the yet-to-be-titled extravaganza won't be the first Jackson estateapproved theatrical production. Not one but two Cirque du Soleil shows (Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour and Michael Jackson: One) have been staged since Jackson's passing. We'll keep you updated on details as they're revealed. But here's hoping an for an epic staging of Martin Scorsese's "Bad" video:
