Vincent Herring Quartet with Cedar Walton

Alto saxophonist Vincent Herring tends to be viewed as a Jackie McLean acolyte, but this week he's blowing in honor of John Coltrane, whose 84th birthday would have fallen on Thu 23. The venerable Cedar Walton, Herring's frequent boss, takes the piano bench; David Williams plays bass and Willie Jones III is on drums.
