UNKLE

James Lavelle's UNKLE project had evolved mightily over the years, morphing from a simple (if somewhat grandiose in ambition) electronic side project for Mo' Wax label head James Lavelle and then-partner Tim Goldsworthy to a decidedly less simple (and still pretty grandiose), sprawling multimedia juggernaut, with stops along the way for celebrity guest vocals and a love-hate response from the music press. Lavelle, now working with Richard File, recently put out a new EP, The Answer, and UNKLE is marking the release with a live date tonight at Webster Hall.
