Madison, WI, synth-punk oddball Trin Tran, who released Dark Radar via Drag City imprint God? this past fall, plays a pair of local gigs. Helping to set the stage at Death by Audio on Dec 29 are local duo Xaddax—which juxtaposes serrated math-rock riffage with No Wavey electronics—and Radioshock; the Dec 30 Cake Shop bill also includes noise-minded cello luminary MV Carbon, Vinka Varna and X27.
