Formed in 1968, this skronky outfit wrote the book on horn-driven funk-rock. Just about every drummer with any proclivity toward "groove" has studied David Garibaldi's syncopated, boppin' intro to the band's classic "Squib Cakes." Five decades later, Tower of Power is still moving asses and feet with tunes like "What Is Hip" and "Back on the Streets Again." Here the group plays two special celebrations of its fiftieth anniversary.
