The much-anticipated District 36 is finally, after a few delays, open for business. Tonight's party features Germany’s Timo Maas, a man who’s been banging out arena-sized rhythms for ages. Maas's productions have lately gotten pretty damn twisted; here’s hoping that’s the sound he’ll purvey here tonight. (And he probably will, seeing as the night serves as a release soiree for his fine new Balance 017 mix-CD, which is brimming with left-of-center house and techno.) Basic NYC's Sleepy & Boo lend top support with an opening set. E-mail rsvp@basicnyc.com to get on the reduced-admission list.
