Bay Area punk artist John Dwyer—famous for his take-no-prisoners work in Coachwhips and countless other outfits—has channeled his raw aesthetics into something anyone could love in the badass garage-pop outfit Thee Oh Sees. The band's latest outing, Warm Slime, sounds typically unhinged and groovily inspired, like a collection of choice Nuggets outtakes. Joining it are the excellent, Sub Pop-signed garage popsters Happy Birthday, whose "Girls FM" is designed to be a party playlist staple.
