The Vaselines + Schwervon!

The past few years have seen some rather unlikely reunions, but the reanimation of the long-defunct Scottish indie-pop outfit the Vaselines has to be among the most surprising. As the Vaselines, Eugene Kelly and Frances McKee released a near-perfect EP and LP (with some songs later made famous by Nirvana covers). In 2010, the band issued its second full-length album, Sex with an X. Tonight's bill is strong all the way through, with an opening set from antifolk stalwarts Schwervon!
