The collaboration of alt-hip-hop luminary Aesop Rock and indie-folk mainstay (and former Moldy Peach) Kimya Dawson, the Uncluded, sounds pretty rad on paper, and what do you know? It's every bit as cool in practice, as heard on last year's eccentric, endearingly homespun Hokey Fright LP. Here, the pair heads a left-field-pop summit meeting, also including Macaulay Culkin–abetted, ’za-crazed Velvet Underground tribute the Pizza Underground and inimitable local soul-pop crooner Baby Dayliner.
