The New York Pops snap and crackle through a program led by Heather Headley, one of the premier Broadway leading ladies of our time. In a better world, Headley would be starring in a new show every year, but this career-spanning concert will tide us over until the next time this Tony and Grammy winner gets a role that is worthy of her talents. Along with highlights from her signature shows —including songs from Aida, The Lion King, The Bodyguard and her recent Encores! triumph Into the Woods—Headley will perform Broadway favorites and pop standards such as “Over The Rainbow” and Elton John’s “Your Song.” Steven Reineke wields the baton.
