“Liquid light” artist Joshua White provided consummately trippy backdrops for Fillmore East performances during the hippie-rock era (not to mention the memorable illuminations during that acid-party scene in Midnight Cowboy). This week White aligns with some of today’s vanguard outfits for a downtown residency. Musical guests include jazz trio the Bad Plus and synth-popster Glasser (Oct 23); indie-rock mainstays Wye Oak and Woods (Oct 24); and art-punk legends Television and the heady duo of Spiritualized head J. Spaceman and Oneida drummer Kid Millions (Oct 25).
