Back in action for more than two years, Anton Fier's Golden Palominos spent long months revisiting its earthy early prime. Fier now steers the group toward a heady middle era highlighted by the singing and writing of Lori Carson—whose appearance tonight is not just her first gig in five years, but also her first onstage performance with the Palominos, ever. Lianne Smith and Robert Kidney also lend their pipes to the band; crafty ex-Brooklyn combo Ida, now based in the Catskills, comes homeward to open the bill.
