The Body + Author and Punisher + Moor Mother + Uniform

The Body specializes in creepy avant-doom epics that collide harsh noise with industrial rock. Here the hard-touring Providence duo plays inside a vast installation art piece Grand Ole Opera by Tennessee artists Willie and Brent Stewart. Opening are Philly artist Moor Mother—who collages field recordings, analog sequencers and revolutionary lyrics into lo-fi "dark rap"— and local duo Uniform, which traffics in a crushing experimental blend of devastating distortion, pounding drum beats and gutterally screamed vocals.
