Tenor Madness: The George Coleman Quintet

Few current bands provide as concentrated a dose of jazz history, spirit, insight and camaraderie as the groups led by tenor saxophonist George Coleman. The leader distills a lifetime of rich experience into each eventful encounter, and it doesn't hurt that he's joined here by fellow veteran Harold Mabern on piano, as well as bassist John Webber, sax-man Eric Alexander and (it's a family affair) George Coleman Jr on drums.
