Tamar-kali

Tamar-kali made her name singing guitar-fuzzed rock songs in a Skunk Anansie vein and has lately sought inspiration from such greats as Nina Simone and Edith Piaf. Even six years on from the release of her debut, Black Bottom, the album's meat-and-potatos brand of hardcore rawk still manages to sound innovative.
