Northside Festival. Michael Gira's reconstituted Swans—one of the most formidably intense art-rock bands on the planet, just as in the group's initial run—play in support of 2012 double album The Seer, which married the lurching bombast of the group's early music with the goth-folk atmospherics of Gira's later work in Angels of Light. Sharing tonight's Northside bill is Chelsea Wolfe, a California singer who offers an improbable mix of scrappy outsider folk and black-metal atmosphere.
