Though Earle is best known for penning and performing country tunes with rock inflections, it seems he broadens his artistic palette more and more as time passes: He's appeared on The Wire, and written a play (Karla), a collection of short stories (Doghouse Roses) and a novel (I'll Never Get Out of This World Alive). Here Earle organizes and headlines this benefit for children, like his son John Henry, living with autism. With his band the Dukes, Earle revisits his debut album, Guitar Town, in full, with support from Graham Nash and Shawn Colvin.
