Steve Earle and Allison Moorer, Manhattan's first couple of hard-bitten roots music (or something), are playing a snazzy residency at City Winery through August. Each show features a special guest. Tonight's is singer-songwriter Justin Townes Earle. Like his rowdy old man, 28-year-old Justin is steeped in the rich variants of old-time country, Texas swing, mountain ballads, down-home blues and honky-tonk lullabies that inform the vernacular of American song.
