Three genre-defying avant-guitar extremists converge at this Tinnitus Music Series, which promises to blow out eardrums, true to its name. Drone and abstracted-metal overlord Stephen O'Malley—you might've caught him with Sunn O))), Khanate, KTL and a ton of other projects—takes the headlining slot. No word on what to expect, as the absurdly prolific artist has an extensive archive of material from which to choose. Experimentalists Reg Bloor and Andrew Hock, who set the stage, are both known for hypnotic long-form compositions (the former's post-minimalist stylings in Glenn Branca Ensemble and the latter's hypnotic shred narratives in metal outfit Psalm Zero).
