Opening the French Institute's annual World Nomads festival—which focuses this year on Tunisia—and presented in conjunction with World Music Institute, celebrated singer Sonia M'barek shakes the walls of Florence Gould Hall with her thrilling, personal take on muluf, a traditionally male-dominated form of Tunisian court music. She's accompanied by Al-Bustan Seeds of Culture, an Arabic ensemble based in Philadelphia.
