Psychedelic rock-meets-electronica group Silver Apples—active from 1967 to 1969 as well as in the '90s—is widely credited with laying the early groundwork for experimental electronic music. Initially comprised of Tennessee-born Simeon Oliver Coxe III (on synth) and the late Danny Taylor on drums, Silver Apples released several studio albums on Kapp Records and Whirlybird. Simeon, who just released a new album as Silver Apples, Clinging to a Dream, will headline at Good Room (moved from its previous planned location at Bushwick's DIY spot, Market Hotel, which is temporarily closed).
