Salsa Meets Jazz Revisited: A Benefit Tribute to Dave Valentin

With its occasional, ongoing Salsa Meets Jazz Revisited series, Le Poisson Rouge pledges allegiance to the groundbreaking programming that took place back when the Village Gate occupied its space. This installment is extra special, given that an extraordinary lineup of heavy hitters—including Sonny Fortune, Steve Turre, Manny Oquendo's Libre and Papo Vazquez's Pirates and Troubadours—turn their talents to helping out an ailing colleague, flutist Dave Valentin.
