Roots Picnic

Much like its Philly-born genre-bending namesakes, The Roots, you never know quite what to expect from the eclectic RP line-up. There’s a lilt towards stellar hip hop, charismatic rap and soulful funk, but that doesn’t stop a few innovative experimental fringe acts creeping in to rock the mikes. Highlights for this iteration, the first live one since 2019, include Mary J. Blige, Rick Ross, Wizkid, DJ Diamond Kuts and Keyshia Cole, among others. Catch them all on June 4 and 5 at the Mann at Fairmount Park in Philadelphia or stream the event live on the group's YouTube channel.
