In the still-developing field of jazz–hip-hop crossover, Robert Glasper's career is the gold standard. The Houston-born pianist's newest record, Black Radio, continues the ongoing hybrid experiment, roping in Erykah Badu, Lupe Fiasco, Yasiin Bey (the former Mos Def) and tons more. The daughter of soul legend Donny Hathaway and an estimable singer in her own right, Lalah Hathaway opens, and she's joined by up-and-coming Atlanta soul singer and pianist Avery*Sunshine (the asterisk is for a sunburst, she says).
