Redshift + Mivos Quartet

The temperature may be rising outside, but it will be cool along the banks of Galapagos's indoor lake when the bicoastal new-music ensemble Redshift premieres its newest project, Arctic Sounds, featuring electroacoustic music by ten composers (including David Lang and Radiolab's Jad Abumrad) that incorporate researcher Kathy Turco's field recordings of Alaskan wildlife. The Mivos Quartet plays new pieces by Tristan Perich and Samson Young in the second half.
