Folk legend Ramblin' Jack Elliott's ragtag minstrelsy is perhaps more appropriate for the stage—or barroom or street corner—than the studio. But his recent Anti- Records releases, of which 2009's A Stranger Here is the latest, shun rehearsed perfection and familiar repertoire, to striking effect.
